3 TIPS TO MAKE THE MOST OF SEPTEMBER (OR ANY MONTH)

With the start of the new season and the end of the year in sight, September is traditionally a time of new goals and assessing what to accomplish by the New Year’s Eve celebrations (I’m not going to mention the C-word!).  You may have stuck to your 2022 Vision and plan with admirable discipline and focus; however, changes may have occurred in your life, and following reflections on holiday, now is the perfect time to determine what’s next and to decide to take powerful action.

This typically means that September and October can be very exciting months.  Consistent work towards achieving your goals take on an urgency as you strive to continue enjoying a successful year.

So, how can you ensure that the energy and motivation that you are feeling now will propel you forward and sustain you in the weeks and months of focus to come?

Thinking ahead for a twelve-week block is much easier for the brain to comprehend because the deadline is not so far away that it feels unrealistic.  Plus, there is motivation to get going right away.  During September, this takes on extra importance because most of my coaching clients want to achieve their goals before the festive celebrations begin in early December.

Here are some questions to help you.  Let’s start by examining where you are now, then you decide your priorities and finally you get into action:

From experience with my coachees (and achieving my own goals), there’s one thing that is the main priority and achieving this will release so much energy, relief and satisfaction.  This is because this unfinished task, or underperforming area in your life, is taking up a vast amount of space in your thinking.  It has an insidious effect on your brain and feelings every day that it is not yet accomplished. You may know that this one thing is having this effect on you already – and may even have been noticed by your loved ones too!  But, and this is a big but, you may very well be pleasantly surprised about what happens in your life when it’s finally done.
